Getting pregnant is a unique and clearly very subjective experience for every woman, but very often it can also happen that the pregnancy is not wanted and that is why knowing how to recognize the symptoms of pregnancy allows many women to be able to stop it in time.

Having said that, the initial symptoms are different depending on the days or weeks that you are pregnant, let’s see immediately what they are by continuing to read!

Pregnancy Symptoms First Days

Already in the first days of pregnancy the symptoms do not take long to arrive and very often it becomes easy to discover that you are pregnant when these are very acute.

Among the very first symptoms of pregnancy we find: Alteration of the senses including taste and smell, therefore sensitivity to odors, nausea, vomiting, dizziness.

But what are these symptoms due to?

They are caused by the hormonal changes that occur inside the woman’s body and more specifically those related to the hormone progesterone, essential in preparing the uterus for the entry of the embryo.

These symptoms do not necessarily appear all together, in fact there are those who experience even just one of these or even all of them together, this is because each pregnancy is subjective and personal.

In any case, if you notice that you have one of these symptoms and you have doubts, it is a good idea to take a test to evaluate whether this is caused by the pregnancy or perhaps not.

Symptoms of pregnancy in the first weeks

In the first weeks of pregnancy, all the symptoms just described amplify, the state of pregnancy becomes obvious, but the symptom that really makes everything clearer is the absence of the cycle.

Not having your period anymore is therefore a clear sign of pregnancy for every woman, and not only!

In fact, it is precisely from the day after you do not have your period that the counting of the weeks of pregnancy begins, thus becoming an essential tool for knowing the expected date of delivery.

In the first weeks of pregnancy, it is also common to have brownish discharge that differs from classic menstruation for its much darker color and reduced quantity.

Another symptom of pregnancy in the first weeks concerns the sensitivity of the breast, which begins to increase in size, becomes harder, and the veins are more noticeable from the outside, this is because the amount of blood circulating inside the breast doubles due to the fact that the mammary glands prepare to produce breast milk.

Among the symptoms of pregnancy in the first weeks, it is also worth highlighting morning sickness, which can be alleviated with herbal teas based on relaxing herbs, such as lemon balm, chamomile, valerian and linden.

In any case, nausea can last from a few minutes to a few hours, it is all very subjective, sometimes it leads to vomiting which can be occasional or frequent even throughout the day.

Vomiting during pregnancy is for some women an episode that occurs throughout the day and can also lead to dehydration with the risk of ending up in hospital. It is found that only an average of thirty women out of a thousand experience hyperemesis gravidarum, or this phenomenon mentioned above.

Symptoms of pregnancy in the first months

The symptoms of pregnancy are not always the same, in fact over time some can disappear such as nausea and vomiting, while others emerge.

In the first months of pregnancy, in fact, among the most common symptoms we have the need to urinate much more often than before, this is because the size of the fetus grows enough to push the bladder downwards, exerting such pressure as to induce urination.

On the other hand, with the increase in size of the fetus, it is not only the bladder that undergoes alterations but also all the organs of the abdomen, which is why among the symptoms of pregnancy in the first months we also find tiredness, fatigue, back pain, hunger for air and heartburn.

The latter, always caused by the pressure of the fetus on the stomach, pushes the gastric fluids towards the esophageal sphincter, causing the classic burning that is felt at the level of the stomach.

In any case, in case of doubts, it is always better to rely on your trusted gynecologist to have a clearer and more complete picture of your personal situation.
